Welcome to F1 Skill Ratings

F1 Skill Ratings uses an Elo-based skill rating system to compare F1 drivers over the years! A driver's skill rating is calculated using a system based on Microsoft Trueskill™. This means that a driver's rating is calculated based on their performance relative to the skill gap between themselves and the other drivers in each event. On this website you can:

• View collected Driver Skill data for all F1 drivers from 1950.
• View detailed graphs for performance at events over time per driver.
• View aggregate information about a driver's time in F1.

F1 Skill Ratings was created for a bit of fun, we hope you like it! It's based on technology we originally created for Assetto Corsa Skill Ratings, so if you're into Sim Racing check that out too! We have a few other projects related to sim racing, most notably Assetto Corsa Servers and AC Server Manager.

All of the data for F1 Skill Ratings is provided by the excellent Ergast Developer API. Please take the time to check them out, without them this site would not be possible.
